Shannon brings her love of people, process and culture to the Catawba Research team. She provides oversight of internal operations ensuring effective execution of clinical trials. Using her extensive history in managing large-scale (budgets reaching $92M) programs in public health and government, Shannon ensures comprehensive engagement of staff in streamlined work bringing the highest level of quality to every clinical trial. Her previous employment includes serving in Administrator and Director positions in national non-profits, as well as at The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. She is known for her person-centered leadership style taking the best of each individual and bringing it to bear for the success of everyone, but especially our sponsors.
Shannon received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in Educational Psychology and a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She serves as a Board Member to The Red Boot Coalition, Board Chairperson for the North Carolina Center for Afterschool Programs and is a proud alumnus of Leadership Charlotte’s Class 39.
