Dr. Neal D. Shore, MD, FACS, is a renowned urologist and the Medical Director of the Carolina Urologic Research Center, practicing at Atlantic Urology Clinics in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. With over 350 clinical trials under his belt, Dr. Shore is a leading authority in genitourinary oncology. He holds prominent positions on the executive boards of the Society of Urologic Oncology and The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network and is a Past President of The Large Urology Group Practice Association. A visionary in his field, Dr. Shore co-founded both the CUSP Clinical Trials Consortium and DASHKO, a national urology practice data registry. He currently serves as the National Urology Research Director for 21st Century Oncology. His influence extends to various prestigious organizations, including the American Urological Association (AUA), where he has served on the Male Health Committee, the Data Committee, and The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Think Tank. He is also actively involved with the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Task Force for Prostate Cancer.
Dr. Shore’s editorial expertise is reflected in his role as Editor of Everyday Urology-Oncology, and his contributions as a peer reviewer for high-impact journals such as Lancet Oncology, New England Journal of Medicine, European Urology, and many others. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters, contributing significantly to the field of urology. A Duke University graduate, Dr. Shore completed his medical degree at Duke University Medical School, followed by a six-month clinical research fellowship in Pretoria, South Africa. He then completed his General Surgery and Urology training at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and continues to be a driving force in advancing urologic research and patient care.
